Simon entered the real estate brokerage business in 1993 as a sales associate with CB Commercial Real Estate Group, a large international real estate firm based in Los Angeles, specializing in sales, leasing and build-to-suits of industrial properties. During Simon’s tenure in the CB Commercial Cleveland office, he was one of the top three overall producers in 1995, won the 1996 Industrial Deal of the Year Award from the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, and in 1997 achieved the designation of Senior Associate quicker than any other Cleveland professional. Simon moved to CRESCO in January 1998, as a Vice President. In February of 2001, Simon became a Principal of CRESCO, helping to create the largest and most successful industrial real estate brokerage in Northeast Ohio.
Simon has always been involved in real estate or construction prior to entering the real estate brokerage business. Upon graduation from Linsly Military Institute in 1971 through 1981 he was in the construction business, starting as a laborer and working his way up to supervising projects such as apartment buildings, shopping centers and single-family homes. From 1983 to 1992, Simon was President of the Big 4 Lumber Company where he also became involved in real estate development and ownership. Simon’s business, construction and property ownership background provides him with the overall understanding and ability to comprehend most companies’ requirements making him the perfect real estate consultant.
Simon averages over 30 transactions annually, including sales and leases ranging from 1,500 square feet to 200,000 square feet and land sales from 1-20 acres. Simon has achieved multiple land sales at Northeast Ohio’s highest price for industrial land. Simon’s assistance on due diligence matters has more than proven his worth to his list of many repeat clients.
